Convinced that the viewing of thousands upon thousands of advertisements over the lifetime of an individual can only have a negative effect on the human psyche, Panda (for short) has chosen to attack the field of advertising from the inside. As an undergraduate student of advertising and as a poet who publishes her work in words and images on the Internet, Panda makes her attempt to both understand and attack the most wicked result of Capitalism. In addition to her criticism of advertising, Panda, her friends and colleagues express their contempt for the blind use of technology, the commercialization of love and sentiment, current fanatical faith in science and the ever-increasing speed of so-called "progress."
Diego Bonilla
Born and raised in Mexico City. He traveled to the US to complete a Master in Media Management and a Ph.D. in Mass Communication at S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications, Syracuse University. After finishing coursework, Bonilla started teaching Multimedia Communication at Syracuse University and preparing the groundwork for a hypermedia story composed of different kinds of media (QTVRs, digital video, audio and Flash animations) that would not only tell a story in a way it hasn't been done before but also provide means to understand further how people deal cognitively with new information structures. The result is "A Space of Time", a non-linear hypermedia story that uses a virtual tour of a century-old building as a narrative device. Currently, Diego Bonilla teaches Digital Media in the Communications Department at California State University, Sacramento.
