Wet Chicken
2003, Russia, Nizhny Novgorod
4’30’’

A girl looks intently into the camera. She’s drying out her hair. Suddenly a stream of water is showered upon her. She’s trying to scream, but to no avail. After the cold shower the girl is in shock. She has just been abused and looks like a wet chicken. The authors are exploring the violence theme –not overtly physical or disciplinary violence, but the covert one generated by our media surroundings, for example, advertising. The wet chicken is an ironic metaphor of an impotent subject of violence.
